The International Aviators HAM Club “Fifth Ocean” invite all fans of The International AirField Award program to participate in the day of activity on 1st of April 2017.

The aim is to be activated as many as possible airfields to give possibility to “hunters” to obtain Diplomas
EU AFA, LZ AFA, R AFA, UN AFA and YU AFA. More information about International AirField Award program you can find on this site.

The activator with higher number of established QSO’s from each country regardless of the bands and modes – Belarus, Bulgaria, Russia, Kazakhstan and Serbia will receive a special Award.

The days of activity of The International HAM aviators club “Fifth Ocean” devoted to the International Civil Aviation Day will carry out in the period from 05.12.2016 till 11.12.2016.

In 1996, pursuant to an ICAO initiative and with the assistance of the Canadian Government, the United Nations General Assembly officially recognized 7 December as International Civil Aviation Day in the UN system.

The purpose of International Civil Aviation Day is to help generate and reinforce worldwide awareness of the importance of international civil aviation to the social and economic development of States, and of the unique role of ICAO in helping States to cooperate and realize a truly global rapid transit network at the service of all mankind.

To obtain the Diploma you need to catch points equal to the difference of the current year and year of foundation of the International Day e.g. 2016 – 1996 = 20 points.

QSO with Fifth Ocean members worked on CW gives 7 points
QSO with Fifth Ocean members worked on Digimodes gives 5 points
QSO with Fifth Ocean members worked on SSB gives 3 points
For QSO with Fifth Ocean member working /AM add 2 points more
For QSO with Fifth Ocean members in honor add 2 points more
For QSO made on 160M band add 2 points more

Counts QSO’s established only during days of activity – 5 -11 December 2016.

QSO with one and the same station counts only made on different modes and different bands.
